St. Anne’s Killaloe defeated CBS Charleville by 0-6 to 0-4 in Round 2 of the TUS Corn Sheain Ui Mhaolomhnaigh (19 D Football) competition on Wednesday November 23rd.

Rian McArthur opened up the match with a point in the first few minutes but St Anne’s were quickly left in the dust by the Cork team. The St Anne’s team were strong with Charlie King as their captain. Rian McArthur unfortunately got injured at half time with the closing score of 0-2 to 0-1 to CBS.

St Anne’s were kept strong in the second half by Cian Molloy holding up the back line. Scores from Cathal Howard, Paddy Bradley, Thomas Shannahan, JB Mbothka and two from Charlie King were put in to drive St Anne’s over the finish line with a 0-6 to 0-4 win over CBS Charlaville .


St. Anne’s Killaloe defeated Tralee CBS by 0-20 to 0-13 in the Quarter-Final of the TUS Corn Sheain Ui hAnragain (19 D Hurling) competition on Wednesday November 16th.

St Anne’s took on CBS Tralee in a vicious battle to get a spot in the Munster senior semi-final. St. Anne’s started off strong with Billy Collins scoring 3 frees in the first few minutes, two more to follow. CBS Tralee started to catch up but was put behind when Charlie King started putting points on the board. The two teams left reached the interval level at 0-7 to 0-7.

St. Anne’s opened up the second half with points from Eoin Hefron, Charlie King, Brian Bourke and Billy Collins. CBS were not going down without a fight. St. Anne’s would have been lost without their goalkeeper Zach Dillon, making brilliant blocks and striking excellent puck outs.

Ten minutes before the final whistle, St. Anne’s were in the lead by 0-13 to 0-12. Paddy Bradley and Cathal Howard drove St Anne’s to a strong finish and they ran out winners by 0-20 to 0-13.

In the Semi-Final, St. Anne’s Killaloe lost out to Scoil Mhuire Gan Smal Blarney.
