Round 1 of the TUS Corn Mhairtin Mhic Chomara (15 D Football) got underway on week commencing September 12th.

Mean Scoil Castlegregory 7-8 Davis College Mallow 2-2

The game was played in a blustery Firies. Castlegregory got off to a quick start with a quick goal from their Full forward. They followed straight after with another goal from their centre forward.

Davis College slowly grew into the game with a pointed free from Dylan Spillane. Davis were unlucky not to rattle the net in many occasions throughout the first half. The Castlegregory Custodian denied this.

The score at half time was 3-6 to 2 points.

Davis College managed to rattle the net in the second half with goals from corner forward Donnchadh Cronin and Centre forward Cian Murphy.

Castlegregory proved to be too strong and held on to their comfortable lead finishing on a scoreline of 7-8 to 2-4.
