CBS Ennistymon and Clonakilty Community College met in the first round of the Senior C Munster hurling in Galbally on Wednesday October 12th. It was a tight game throughout with some fine displays of hurling and long distance shooting on show.

Ennistymon led at half time by 10 points to 6. Clonakilty started the second half the livelier with two quick goals and left Ennistymon with no choice but to up their performance.

Eanna Rouine goaled for the CBS men and Mark Callinan, who was having a super game at wing back, pointed soon after. Ennistymon were back in control and saw the game out on a scoreline of 1-17 to 3-8.

Others to impress for Ennistymon were Ricky Wynne, James Callinan and Macdara O’Keeffe.
