Clonmel High School defeated Scariff Community College by 2-17 to 1-7 in Round 2 of the TUS Corn Sheamais Ui Dhonnchu (17 B Hurling) competition on Wednesday October 4th at Borrisoleigh.
Scariff played with the wind in the opening half and got off to a strong start leading by 3 points to no score after 5 minutes.
The High School responded well & scored the final 5 points of the 1st half to lead by 0-7 to 0-6 at half-time.
After the break, the High School extended their lead to 4 points but Scariff responded with scores of their own and a goal left just a point in it midway through the 2nd half 0-11 to 1-7 in favour of the Clonmel side.
However the High School were to make use of the breeze & finish the stronger, scoring the last 2-6 of the match to run out 2-17 to 1-7 winners at the final whistle in Borrisoleigh.
