The Dean Ryan Cup Under 16 ½ A Hurling competition is down to the semi-finals with the penultimate fixtures down for decision on Wednesday afternoon October 19th.

Both games with throw-in at 1:30pm at Tipperary venues. In Golden, Coláiste Cholmáin Fermoy take on John The Baptist Community School. Both schools had a bye in round 1 but recorded impressive victories in their Quarter-Final games, John The Baptist Community School having 19 points to spare over St. Flannans College Ennis while Coláiste Cholmáin Fermoy survived a stern challenge from De La Salle College Waterford, winning on a scoreline of 0-21 to 1-15.

In Ardfinnan, CBS Midleton will take on Thurles CBS. CBS Midleton won this title in 2014 and 2015 and defeated the 2016 champions Árdscoil Rís by 2-16 to 2-11 in the Quarter-Final so look well placed to win their third title in four years. Thurles CBS have come through two tough games to date, defeating local rivals Our Ladys Templemore in the first round by 2-13 to 1-13 before coming from behind to secure a 1-11 to 0-9 victory over Gaelcholáiste Mhuire AG last Friday.

Best wishes to all four schools involved in their efforts to reach the Dean Ryan Cup Final which is provisionally scheduled for Wednesday November 9th.
