Round 2 of the TUS Corn Chiarain Ui Dhrisceoil (16.5 D Hurling) competition took place on week commmencing October 3rd.

St. Anne’s Community College Killaloe 3-18 Douglas Community School 0-1

St. Annes started off their Under 16 1/2 campaign with a comprehensive win over Douglas. The game was played in very tough conditions with both teams fighting hard for possession. Billy Collins, captain of St. Anne’s scored 2 points from frees and Sam Faherty scored a very well hit goal to get Killaloe into the lead. St. Anne’s led by 1-8 to 0-1 at the interval.

In the second half, Killaloe continued play well in heavy conditions and goals from Luke Power and substitute Donncha Morgan put the tie beyond the reach of Douglas. Overall, it was a well contested game and played in very good spirit.
